Born August 5, 1928 in Bureau, IL to Joseph and Bernice (Snyder) Martin, he married Nellie Ellberg on May 28, 1954 in Geneva, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Pam (Dave) Lasier of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Richard (Jo) Martin of Shelley, ID and Craig (Denise) Martin of Libertyville, IL; nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Ralph had been a member of Mohammed Temple Shrine and the Masonic Lodge in Peoria.
He worked as a rural electric lineman for Illinois Valley Electric for 45 years, retiring in 1992.
An avid Chicago Cubs fan, Ralph enjoyed wood carving, painting, hunting, fishing and gardening.
Cremation arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services or visitation.
