She was born June 29, 1951 in Pekin to Carl and Velma (Vaughn) Layne.
Surviving are her significant other, Darla Helmig of Pekin; one daughter, Dawn (Wesley) Stuart of West Plains, Missouri; one nephew, Michael Layne of Pekin and one niece, Kimberly (Shane) Beeney of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Michael Layne and one sister- in-law, Sheri Layne.
Rebecca worked as a custodian at Pekin High School for 24 years before retiring.
She loved watching sports, including football, baseball and NASCAR. Rebecca refereed softball and volleyball. She also enjoyed reading.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services are planned at this time.
