Reva E Bushman

Born August 9, 1925 in Streator to Iver Guy and Ida May (Lewis) Nelson, she married Lowell Bushman on February 13, 1955. He died December 30, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sally Meece; one son, Robert Bushman; and one grandson, Mark Nelson.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Bushman of Seattle, Washington and Holly (Dan) Brewer of Lewis Center, Ohio; two sons, Darryl Nelson of Morton and Randall (Caryln) Bushman of Scottsdale, Arizona; ten grandchildren, Shay Nelson, Breck Nelson, Matthew (Ann) Nelson, Lauren Bushman, Sara (Ben) Harkin, Brittan Bushman, Ryan (Jen) Carter, Grant Bushman, Danielle Brewer and Chase Brewer; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth McLeod of Pekin.

A homemaker, Reva was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Pekin, where she had served as a deacon. She was also a member of the Pekin Woman’s Club, Tazewell County Home Extension, and the Gems Quilting Club of Peoria.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at First United Presbyterian Church in Pekin. The Rev. Kristie Peterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
