Rex A Brown

Born April 13, 1952 in Peoria to Arlen and Dorothy (Sylvester) Brown, he married Patty Lemon on February 20, 1973 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Tammy Brown, Jacklyn Brown, Tiffany (Andrew) Sandberg, all of Pekin and Tracy (Keith) Shearburn of Marquette Heights; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Dennis Brown of Pekin and three sisters, Patsy Ayers of Alabama, Cathy Brown of Pekin and Tina Wilkins of Wyoming, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Rex had worked several jobs as a laborer and also had tended bar at Brownies in Pekin.

He loved going on trips with his children and playing with his grandkids. He also enjoyed listening to music and partying.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Frank Noyes will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
