He was born August 2, 1971 in Peoria to Richard and Shirley (McClellan) Bauman, Sr.
Surviving are his mother, Shirley Bauman of Pekin; one brother, Luther Bauman of Peoria; one step-son, Brandon (Nicholl) Gibbs of Mark; three daughters, Jessica Klein of Marquette Heights, Brittney (Shawn) Jackson of Jacksonville and Courtney Bauman of Farmington; eight grandchildren, James Zeigler, Brandon Gibbs, Jr., Caius Luncssord, Kalliope Gibbs, Penelope Gibbs, Abel Gibbs, Carson Klein and Azlynn Klein; one niece Layla Bauman and one nephew Dominic Bauman.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bauman, Sr.; two grandchildren, Gavin and Damon Klein; maternal grandparents Ruth and Jake McClellan and paternal grandparents Ilda and Richard Bauman.
He loved to be outside, enjoyed woodworking and working on cars.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services are scheduled at this time.
