

MANITO ~ Robert W. "Bob" Fisher, 61, of 30811 East County Road 2400 North, formerly of Monroe, Michigan and Prudenville, Michigan, passed away at 8:56 a.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Pekin Hospital. Born July 30, 1946 in Monroe, Michigan to Robert and Esther Louise (Robinson) Fisher, he married Carol Dilts on March 4, 1963 in Monroe, Michigan. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly (Billie) Moore of Pekin; two sons, Edward (Rhonda) Fisher and William (Candy) Fisher, both of Manito, eight grandchildren,Brianna, Shawna, Brandon, Kayla, Tyler, Lynsey, Madison, and Gaven; one sister, Cindy Fisher of Monroe, Michigan; and two brothers, Terry Fisher of Marathon Key, Florida and Jerry (Teri) Fisher of Rockwood, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Teri Lynn Fisher Pickett. Bob was an operator for Demex Group in Manito, working out of the Operators Union Local #324 in Michigan. He also was a former truck driver for the Teamster Union Local #224 in Michigan. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1616 in Houghton Lake, Michigan. An outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He took pride in his yard work, and loved working in his garden and tending to his tomato and pepper plants. He also loved to spend time with his family. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Mark Friday will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday. Spring burial will be in Denton Township Cemetery in Prudenville, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Memorial Breast Cancer Research Foundation 4700 N.
