

He was born July 1, 1939 in Peoria to Byron and Eleanor (Park) Dickinson. His parents and one brother, Dennis preceded him in death.
Surviving are three brothers, Edward (Nancy) Dickinson of Arden Hills, MN, Steven (Mary Jane) Dickinson of Peoria and Mark (Jan) Dickinson of Blue Springs, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving at bases in California, Montana and New York.
He had worked in light manufacturing, last working for R. B. White in Bloomington.
Two of Ron’s passions in life were portrait drawing and golf. His art work is displayed in the homes of many friends and loved ones. With tongue-in-cheek, Ron would tell you that his golfing pinnacle was winning the 1956 caddy’s tournament at the Peoria Country Club.
In following Ron’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
