

Born February 27, 1948 in Peoria to Fred and Janice (Jefford) Lang, he married Donna Kay Fender on January 7, 1968 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years; four sons, Ron (Amber) Lang, II of Bartonville, twins, Ryan (Marla) Lang of Washington and Bryan (Wendy) Lang of Pekin and Benjamin (Debbie) Lang of Pekin; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Lang and Fred (Shelia) Lang, both of Creve Coeur and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron was a very patriotic person who served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Morton in inventory control for 40 years before retiring in 2003.
An avid Chicago Cubs fan, Ron enjoyed the being out in the nature, fishing, hunting and watching eagles. His greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with his family.
Ron was a former member of Peoria First Free Methodist Church.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army and Tazewell Military Rites Team. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
