Ruth J. Astle, 90, of West Peoria, formerly of Mapleton, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria, Illinois. She was born on June 16, 1926 in Mapleton, Illinois to Frank and Grace (Walker) Astle. She worked many years in the office at Krogers. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Mapleton Church. She is survived by one brother, Paul of Peoria; one niece, Jenny (Daniel) Linder; one nephew, Matthew (Chi). She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Mapleton Church. The Rev. Paul Oedewaldt will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to her church. You may create an online condolence at www.davisonfultonwoolsey.com.

We will miss Ruth more than words can express. She was so much a part of our lives and our family. The happy times we had with her are some of our most precious memories. We loved her dearly.
