Sandra L Jones

Born April 4, 1945 in Pekin to Walter and Edith (Smith) Huskisson, she married Dean L. Lowe on September 14, 1959 in Pekin. She later married Larry Ronald Jones on December 31, 1983 in Pekin. He died December 21, 2004. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Dean L. Lowe, James Lowe and Brian Lowe; one step-son, Brian Jones; two grandsons, Dean Lowe, III and Brian Wayne Lowe and four brothers, Walter “Bud” Huskisson, Lee Franklin Huskisson, Henry J. Huskisson and Walter F. Huskisson, II.

Surviving are three sons, Walter (Sis) Lowe of Taft, CA, Jerry (Tina) Lowe and David Lowe, both of Pekin; three stepsons, Dallas Jones, Jeff Jones, both of Lincoln and Larry Jones of Hartsburg; one step-daughter, Becky Katz of Lincoln; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren two brothers, David Huskisson of Pekin and Jeff Huskisson of MO; three sisters, Mary (Kenneth) Howard of Manito, Shirley Hedrick of Canton and Anna Huskisson of Pekin. She also leaves a very dear friend, Richard Sheppard of Pekin; two sisters-in-law, Doris Huskisson of Hazelhurst, GA and Betty Huskisson of Taylorville and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra worked as a tow truck driver for 10 years with S & L and also had owned Dell’s Courtside Café for several years in Pekin.

Sandra loved to play bingo and poker and was a past member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin. She also loved to have family get together.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Her memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Connie Rigler will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
