MORTON ~ Sara Joy Schultz, 45, of Morton passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:15 am and went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus Christ her loving Savior.
She is survived by her children Priscilla (Nick) Stahley, Betty (Josh) Bieber and Drew Schultz, III; her parents, Gene and Cheryl Ellis; sister Kristi (Tom) Ferrell; sister-in-law, Charissa Schultz and many nieces, nephews, and family.
Sara was born on July 11, 1979, in Peoria, and lived in Morton most of her life. She was a member of Victorious Life Bible Church and always loved Jesus. Sara was a loving, wonderful and amazing mother to her three children, and always gave everything she had so her children could have the best. She raised them to love Jesus, and to always put Him first in their lives.
She also was very active in Worldwide Victorious Life Bible Teaching Ministry of Mrs. Betty Jean Nutter (www.worldwidevictoriouslifebibleteachingministry.com), working on the ministry from the time she was very young throughout her life and always willing to do whatever God called her to do. She loved Jesus Christ with all her heart and always wanted to make Him happy. She also loved her Bible Teacher Mrs. Nutter, and spent the last few years documenting Mrs. Nutter’s Bible lessons. She was always helping others by either making a meal, grocery shopping, babysitting, praying, or just listening to them talk. She loved to play the piano and organ at her church and loved singing hymns. She will be missed by so many because she touched so many lives and hearts with her big smile and joyous, kind, loving heart. She looked forward with great anticipation to the day she would see her Precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face and to also be reunited with her Beloved Bible Teacher Mrs. Nutter.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor James Schoonover will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Victorious Life Evangelical Bible Church Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be given to her church, Victorious Life Evangelical Bible Church, P.O. Box 423, Morton, Illinois 61550.
