Sharon K Naylor

Born September 30, 1938 in Kingston Mines, to Richard and Florence (Helmig) Newsam, she married William L Naylor on June 17, 1957 in Glasford. He died October 16, 2008 in Glasford. She also was preceded by her parents; one daughter, Marty Ann Naylor on March 3, 1988; two brothers; two sisters and two nephews.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Mike Baldes) McSimov of Pekin and Barbara Barnett of Glasford; one son, Bradley (Rebecca) Naylor of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Sharon was a cosmetologist for 36 years, retiring in 2001.

She was a member of Glasford Baptist Church.

Sharon liked to bowl, dance and listen to music. She also liked to watch “Dancing with the Stars” on television.

She loved her church and her church family.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Glasford Baptist Church. Pastor Paul D. Cook,Pastor Wayne Yeagerand Pastor Frank Brosnick will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Kingston Mines Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
