Shirley M Watson

She was born February 8, 1939 in Bedford, Indiana to Warnie and Tina “Tiny” (Cox) Boone.

Surviving are three children, Nancy (Virgil McClary) Pemberton Terrell, Bradley Pemberton and Tab Morris; ten grandchildren whom loved her deeply, Christopher (Stephanie) Pemberton, Jennifer (Bradley) Terrell, Gina (Markie) Terrell, Samantha Riley, Corey Pemberton, Kyle Pemberton, Shayna Pemberton and Ryan (Tracy) Pemberton, Brittni (Jordan) Pemberton and Kirsten (Luke) Byrd and 20 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Cambria, Andi, Aries, Atticus, Zeke, Taylor, Sean, Blakelee, Jackson, Delainey, McKenna, Kartor, Dixie, Dean, Denver, Riley, Grace, Zaiden and Briella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four children, Roger Pemberton, Gina Pemberton, Harlan Morris and Tonya Morris and three siblings, Joyce McFarland, Joan Boone and Paul Capps.

She was raised in Bedford, Indiana and was the youngest of four children. She was the loving mother of seven beautiful children, the grandmother of ten wonderful grandchildren whom she loved deeply and the great-grandmother of 20 great grandchildren.

Shirley was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Hallmark House in Pekin for 15 years.

At 85 years old, Shirley lived life of ups, downs and all arounds. She always stayed strong and always stayed true and loved and protected her large family at all costs.

Shirley loved to travel especially with her semi-truck driving son Brad. She was an avid BINGO player. She loved to take a risk. Shirley found family in everyone she met, with lifelong impressions left in the hearts of everyone she ever met. She may be gone from our sight but not our hearts.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
