

Born February 26, 1937 in Pekin to Sol Cass and Lottie Ellen (Hartley) Snyder, he married Beverly Jean St. Clair on August 18, 1956 at Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are four children, Tom (Tami) Snyder of Collinsville, Ron Snyder of Pekin, Denny Snyder of Tremont and Lori (Doug) Patton of Germantown Hills; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Chrissy Townsend) Snyder of Collinsville, Brittany (Alan) Meredith of O’Fallon, David (Jackie) Lee of Caseyville, Dakota Patton, Kearstyn (Brett) Heaford, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, Chase Patton of East Peoria and Duke Snyder of Charlotte, North Carolina and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marilyn Rowe.
Tom was a driver for 57 years. He last drove for Branson Shuttle while he and Beverly lived at Lampe, Missouri on Table Rock Lake. He previously had drove for Peoria Charter Coach. Some of his fondest memories were driving the team bus for Pekin Community High School athletics. Tom was a retired member of Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union Local 627 in Peoria.
He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved watching his grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. He also was especially fond of his dogs.
He was of the Baptist faith.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin. Pastor Zach Langloss will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
