Stephanie Hamilton

Born September 21, 1955 in Peoria to Charles Raymond and Julia Marianne (Sauder) Malone, she married Daniel Richard Hamilton on November 11, 1972 in East Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are six children, Josh (Kara) Hamilton of Bartonville, Jenae (Ryan) Nimmo of Marquette Heights, Jessica (Matt) Powell of Pekin; Jake Hamilton, Jenessa (Paul) Siena, both of East Peoria and Jeleighsa (Josh Glider) Hamilton of Dubuque, Iowa; one daughter-in-law, Sara Hamilton of Marquette Heights; twelve grandchildren, Rylea Wykert, Nora Hamilton, Sophia Hamilton, Josie Hamilton, Lawson Nimmo, Palmer Nimmo, Kaitlyn Powell, Lydia Powell, Boston Powell, Kingston Powell, Maxwell Siena, and Esme Siena; two sisters, Becky (Steve) Burroughs and Nancy Malone, both of Pekin and two brothers, Monty Malone of Creve Coeur and Kevin Malone of Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Justin Daniel Hamilton on February 16, 2025; two grandsons, Maddy Nimmo and Hudson Nimmo and three sisters.

A devoted homemaker, Stephanie, was known as her kids No. 1 sports fan when growing up and never missed a game. She enjoyed baking cookies, cakes, pies, and hosting family Sunday dinners for many years. She was a self-taught cosmetologist and a gifted gift wrapper. She also was well known for the gift of gab. She was a very proud grandmother as well.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.

Stephanie was known to say "Love you, See you later"- never goodbye. Today her family says to her: "We love you mom, and we'll see you later."
