Born April 18, 1951 in Pekin, he was the son of Dwaine Franklin and Wilma (Rockhold) Harper. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Harper and two sisters, Dianna Jean Howell and Tressa Rose Kearney.
Surviving are five children, Steven Allen Harper, Jr., Scott Allen Harper, Stacy Harper, Jessica Harper and Ryan Harper and one sister, Vivian Thornton of Pekin.
S.A. will be remembered as a laid back individual that used to like to work on cars, ride motorcycles and was fond of dogs.
He had last worked as a custodian and previously as a mechanic.
His graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Randy Justus will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
