

Born October 17, 1927 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Nicholas and Georgia Bourtzos Ragias, he married Delores Irene "Dee" Teter on July 9, 1956 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Theodore S. "Ted" (Pam) Ragias of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Stephanie L. (Jeff) White of Charlotte, North Carolina and Cynthia A. "Cindy" (Marshall) Hasty of Morton; three grandchildren, Megan C. Ragias and Nick A. Ragias, both of Wichita, Kansas, and Stephanie N. Hasty of Morton; two step-grandsons, Jeremy D. Schaar and Ryan G. Schaar, both of Wichita, Kansas; and one sister, Toula (Nick) Poulos of Oak Park.
His parents preceded him in death.
A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he served from June 11, 1945 to August 18, 1946.
Ted worked 25 years at Commercial National Bank in Peoria, retiring in 1992 as vice president of the commercial loan department at National City in Peoria. Following retirement, he was a bailiff at the Tazewell County Courthouse for several years.
He was a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Pekin, where his memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2006. Father Brian T. Kellington will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Burial of ashes will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
