

Born March 7, 1932 in Pekin to Everett and Maxine (Webber) Berger, he married Marilyn Lichtenberger on May 29, 1968. His wife of 49 years preceded him in death on January 19, 2008 in Albuquerque. He also was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Clarabelle Berger and Charles and Maxine Millhoff and one daughter, Cynthia (Berger) Gfeller.
He is survived by three daughters, Lori (Berger) Dupree, Beth Berger, Jennifer (Berger) Sandoval; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He worked in his own Phillips 66 gas station/repair shop with his father in Pekin before moving to Albuquerque. He worked for Clare Campbells automotive and Ed Black's Chevrolet.
He was a member of the Eagles, Elks and Moose Clubs. Thomas and Marilyn loved to travel in their motorhome. They saw family and made many new lifetime friends in their travels.
Thomas was well loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
His visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Guidelines regarding social distancing and masks will be followed. Private burial will follow the visitation in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
