Tom was born April 27, 1949 in Peoria to Lewis James and Virginia Adeline (Stoetzer) Harrison.
Surviving are 1 sister, Linda (Bill) Maquet of Manito; and 1 brother, Phillip (Marie) Smith of Visalia, California.
He last worked as a vehicle mechanic at the Grand Canyon National Park. Previously, he had worked for Bork Auto Parts in Peoria for many years.
Tom had served as a Green Beret with the U.S. Army in the Panama Canal Zone during the Viet Nam era.
He enjoyed studying genealogy; woodworking; and was an avid NASCAR and motorsports fan.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
