

Born November 23, 1943 in Lowell, Massachusetts to James S. and Mary P. (Stecchi) McKinley, he married Vicki Patten on October 27, 1973 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lanette McKinley of Pekin; two sons, Christopher McKinley of Yucaipa, California and James (Caleb) McKinley-Portee of Carbondale; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen McKinley Clowers of Dallas, Texas; and two brothers, Don (Debra) McKinley of Pekin and David (Linda) McKinley of Dunlap.
His parents preceded him in death.
Tom had worked as a machinist for Brass Foundry Company for 28 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Pekin Family Moose Center #916, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869, the William Schaefer American Legion Post #44, and the Pekin Boat Club, all of Pekin.
Tom liked golfing, boating and watching baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed playing cards, euchre was his favorite.
His memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded.
