Thomas Lee Taylor

Born October 24, 1950 in Peoria to Harold Denzel and Frances M. (Wendling), he married Rebecca Haag September 21, 2001 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Shannon Meadows of Bartonville and Shawn (Stacy) Taylor of Hanna City; two step-children, Kimberly (Steven) Thomas of Glasford and Kenneth (Stephanie) Bilek of Monticello; seven grandchildren, John Bilek, Taylor Meadows, Carlee and Zac Taylor, Grace, Jacob and Hannah Thomas; one sister, Judy Howard of Peoria and one brother, Jim Taylor of Bartonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom had served in the United States Air Force as an Air Craft Crew Chief at the 182d Airlift Wing in Peoria. He retired in 2002 after 34 years of service.

He enjoyed going to church and volunteering his time at HOPE Cupboard Food Pantry at The HOPE Chest in Pekin. He loved taking trips with his wife and spending time with his family.

Tom was a member of the Gethsemane Church in Pekin.

A celebration of life for Tom will be held from 3 to 6 pm on October 2nd, 2021 at the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club in Hanna City. There will be no services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
