Born July 16, 1965 in Fargo, ND, he was the son of Dick and Jane Ann (Reynolds) Murphy.
Surviving are his mother, Jane Ann Smith of Pekin; one daughter, Ashley Murphy of Tremont; two step-sisters, Jeri Jo (Steve) Shreffler of Pekin and Cindy (Scott) Laird of Peoria and one brother, Gregory Murphy of Pekin.
Todd and his brother, Greg, co-owned and operated Jake’s Pizza in Bloomington for 10 years.
Todd enjoyed fishing and hunting at the family farm in Shelbyville and also lived there for a time. He was fond of sports and as a young person, played baseball and basketball. He had a special relationship with his late grandfather, Carl Reynolds, Sr., and was proud to have helped take care of him.
His memorial service will be at 3 p.m. July 9, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
