Valdas "Ben" Petty

Ben was born to Roosevelt and Chiyoko Ajiro on January 12, 1954 in Peoria. They preceded him in death.

He married the love of his life Trina Dorris on December 13, 2014. She survives.

He is survived by his three sons, Weston (Danielle) Tolbert of Chicago, Jeffrey Bennett of Peoria, Joshua (Randi) Tolbert of Nashville; one daughter, Brooke Broja of Minnesota; three brothers, Yukio Petty of Cleveland, Alfonso (Rose) Petty of Peoria, Aunera (Cathy) Petty of Peoria and five grandchildren.

He worked for Caterpillar INC. for 42 years retiring in 2015.

In his free time growing up he enjoyed riding dirt bikes with friends and then graduated to motorcycles. He would rebuild vintage motorcycles and was an avid collector. He enjoyed fishing, loved to travel with his wife and to spend time with his family. The family would like to give a special thanks to Team Petty.

Burial will be held at a later date. No services are scheduled.
