Wesley D Bybee

Born December 29, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to John Forrest and Frances Faye (Voorhees) Bybee, he married Sharon Kay Johnson on May 5, 1963. She died in December of 2002. He later married Omaleah Ruth (White) Miller on April 16, 2003. She survives.

Also surviving are five step-children, Shelia (Rick) Bagley, Ivan (Gail) Miller, Ted (Sherrie) Miller, and Owen (Jane) Miller, all of Pekin, and Leonard (Teresa) Miller of Spring Lake; eight step-grandchildren; and twenty-five step-great-grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.

Wesley worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, mostly working in the core room at the Mapleton plant. He retired in 1998. He later worked for the Pekin Park District for several years.

He attended the First Baptist Church in Manito.

Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard.

His graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria. The Rev. Ralph Sauter will officiate. There will be no visitation.
