

Bill was born March 3, 1951 in Galesburg,IL. to Patrick C. and Geraldine M. Billings Bauer. He married Carolyn M. Coffield August 27, 1977 in Keokuk, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn M. of Glasford; his two daughters, Lindsay A. (Joshua D.) Faber of Zanesfield, OH., Meaghan E. Bauer of Glasford, IL.; his son Matthew P. Bauer of Nashville, TN.; a special nephew, John P. Tallarico II of Nashville, TN.; one brother, Gerald P. (Bienvenida) Bauer of Puerto Rico. He was a proud uncle to several nieces and nephews, as well as being survived by several loving brothers and sisters-in-law. Bill is also survived by his mother-in-law Donna J. Coffield of Keokuk, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill was the owner of Glasford Grain and Milling in Glasford, IL. He was a former member of the Iowa Jaycees, on the Glasford State Bank Board of Directors, the Grain and Feed Association, as well as a former softball coach in East Peoria, and a former coach for Pekin Youth Hockey.
Visitation will be at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, IL. Friday, November 26, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon, IL. Father William Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon City Cemetery, Abingdon, IL. immediately following the Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in memory of Dax Locke or to the Glasford Christmas Basket Fund.
