

Born May 11, 1948 in Peoria to Millard Mark and Betty Marie (Hall) Broughton, he married Nancy A. VanDyke on October 19, 1984 in Marquette Heights. She survives.
Also surviving are twin sons, Todd (Heidi) Wilkerson of Topeka and Brett (Betty) Wilkerson of Tremont; three grandchildren, Brett Levi Wilkerson, Brooke Wilkerson, and Todd Joshua Wilkerson; one brother, Roger (Myra) Broughton of Mapleton; and five sisters, Bonnie (Bobby Ward) Fullerlove of Waller, Texas, Beverly (Don) Byrd of Chatham, Sandra Beck of Pekin, Barbara (Del) Tebelman and Betty (Tony) Schmidt, both of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Bill was a truck driver for BOC Gases in Pekin for 25 years and had just achieved the 2 Million Mile Safety Award. Also, he was a professional photographer, in partnership with Rebecca Daily, owning Shooting Star Studios in Pekin.
He had a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and had taught karate for several years.
He was a member of the Mid-America Institute of Professional Photographers.
Bill enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, and watching American Chopper.
His funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be two hours before the funeral. Private burial will be in Sand Prairie Cemetery in rural Green Valley.
