Born August 11, 1932 in Peoria to Paul and Erma (Greer) Jones, he married Patricia Hicks. He later married Rita McNich in 1960. They both survive.
Also surviving his children, Randy, Tim, Alicia, Jim, Aaron and Laura; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and three sisters Judy, Sharon and Linda.
A veteran of the United States Army, Bill served with the 82nd Airborne.
He was a member of the North Pekin AMVETS Post 169.
Bill was a talented musician, he loved listening to music and playing his guitar at local spots.
His memorial visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A graveside service will be follow at 11:30 a.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
