He was born on Dec. 12, 1957 in Peoria to Billy Dwain “Bill” and Melva DeLois “Lois” (Exendine) Hatcher.
His father and a brother, Gary Hatcher, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his mother of Creve Coeur; three sons, Chris Hatcher, Matthew Hatcher and William Lee Hatcher; 1 daughter, Brandy Hatcher; 2 grandchildren, Kiana Hatcher and Azurik James Hatcher; 1 sister, Brenda Bent; numerous friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
His graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army and the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
