

Born October 10, 1939 in Colchester to George and Francis (Abbott) Naylor, he married Sharon Newsam on June 17, 1957 in Glasford. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy McSimov of Bartonville and Barbara Barnett of Glasford; one son, Bradley Naylor of Glasford; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and three brothers, Charles (Janet) Naylor of Mapleton, Michael Naylor of Springfield and Gregory Naylor of Yuma, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Marty Ann Naylor on March 3, 1988 and one nephew, Scott Newsam.
Bill retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 30 years of service, where he worked in chemical products at the Mossville plant. Bill also operated the Rivers Edge Camp Ground in Kingston Mines for 20 years. He was a barber for many years and formerly worked for Sprague’s Oil Company.
He was a member of Glasford Baptist Church.
Bill was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved to tie fish nets. In earlier years he enjoyed trapshooting and go cart racing.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Glasford Baptist Church. Pastor Paul D. Cook will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the church. Burial will be in Kingston Mines Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
