Zachary D Hess

Born September 21, 1984 in Peoria to Mark and Sonia (Durst) Hess, he married Kaela Naven on December 13, 2008 in Marquette Heights

Surviving are his mother, Sonia Hess of Pekin; his father, Mark Hess of Washington; maternal grandmother, Shirley Purkel of Pekin; one brother, Matt (Nichole) Hess of Pekin; two nephews who he adored, Mason Hess and Peyton Hess, both of Pekin; several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia Hess and maternal grandfather, Clifford Durst.

Bub was of the Presbyterian faith.

He felt most at peace when he was fishing. He also loved working on cars, four-wheeling on ATV’s and loved music and Ford Mustang cars.

His funeral will be at noon, Friday May 29, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. James McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
