Alan Thompson, age 53, of Pelham, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was born August 14, 1963 in Rochester, Michigan and moved to Birmingham when he was 8 years old. He was a lover of all animals, an avid gardener, car enthusiast, and sunglasses and model car collector. Alan had an infamously short attention span and would often wander away and explore his surroundings no matter the occasion or situation. He married his wife, Cindy, on October 3, 1992 and they spent 24 years together.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Thompson; mother, Gloria Thompson; daughter, Amber McKell (James); and brothers, Kenny (Jamie,) and Jerry (Mary.)
Visitation was from 6pm-7pm Monday, April 24, 2017 at Riverchase Church of Christ with the service at 7pm.
