Albert Dale Quinn

He was born on August 7, 1937, in Sturgis, MS to Ida Merle Adams Quinn and James Leo Quinn. He stayed close to home and attended Mississippi State University and graduated with an Engineering degree. He held jobs in Huntsville, AL & Cape Canaveral, FL working on rockets for the NASA space program. He eventually moved to Birmingham in the mid 1970's to work for Southern Company until his retirement.

Dale was married to the love of his life Claudia Marie Quinn for 34 years until her death in 2001. He was very supportive of his two sons, Tony & Alan, as well as his daughter in-law Stephanie and was always there for them. He was overjoyed when his grandson Aiden was born and loved seeing him and watching him play soccer.

He was preceded in death by his sister Jacqueline Quinn Barncard and brother James Leo "Jimmy" Quinn Jr.

Dale loved to read, complete crossword puzzles, watch historical documentaries (especially on the space program), walk in his neighborhood talking with neighbors & watching MSU football.

The family will receive friends on January 30, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. A graveside service will follow at Bryan Memorial Presbyterian Church at 2600 Valleydale Rd
