Ann Shoemaker, 82, of Indian Springs Alabama passed away on July 16th after a long courageous struggle with heart disease. A Celebration of her life will be held at 6-8pm Tuesday July23rd at Southern Heritage Funeral Homes, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham Al.Ann was born in Rye, New York on Sept 4th 1930. She graduated from Elmira College with a BS in Biology and worked as a cancer researcher at Lederle Labs.Ann worked as a science teacher for25 years at Owen J. Roberts High School. She enjoyed gardening and loved golden retrievers.
