Ann Mims Smith, age 88, of Hoover, Al was born April 21, 1930 and went to be with the Lord August 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Smith. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 66 years, James E. Smith; Son, Mike Smith (Janet); Daughters, Susan Schenk (Jim), and Amy Wynn (Bruce). Grandchildren, Michelle (John), Abby (J.D.), John (Whitney), Katy (David), Mary, and William (Kelsey), and 10 Great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Ridout’s Southern Heritage with burial in Southern Heritage Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
