Barbara Paris

Barbara Knight Paris, age 87, of Pelham, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Barbara was born January 27, 1934 to her parents, Lloyd and Willie Mae Knight in Jasper, AL. Barbara received her formal education at Walker County High School in Jasper, AL. She was a member of Fairfield Highlands United Methodist Church. Barbara Knight was married to James Paris on August 31, 1957. Their union was blessed with two children. She was employed by Hallmark as a Sales Clerk for many years. In her leisure she enjoyed working puzzles and word searches, listening to sports talk shows, pulling for her favorite football team, Alabama "Roll Tide", and decorating her house at Christmas with her Hallmark ornament and sharing that love with friends and family. Barbara was also a member of Birmingham Tree Trimmers Club.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Paris; her parents, Lloyd and Willie Mae Knight; a sister, Lola Faye Knight and her brother, Wendell Knight.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Becky Granzow and Alan Paris; grandchildren, Kyle Granzow and Cody Granzow; two sisters, Dale Knight and June Baker.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
