Betty Ray Clement, passed away peacefully on December 26th of 2015. She is preceded in death her husband, Alfred M. Clement; son, Ray Clement. She is survived by her son, Jim Clement; daughter-in-law, Mary Clement; granddaughter, Allison Clement, who made her so proud. Betty worked over 40 years at UAB Medical West which was her second family. She loved and was loved by many family, friends and neighbors, especially Claudia and Shirley, her sitter. Betty was a compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always there to help no matter what it was. Betty was a lover of all animals. Even though she is gone physically she will always be in our hearts, affectionately known as Mamar. She will be greatly missed. There will be a graveside service held at Southern Heritage Cemetery Thursday the 31st at 11am with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shelby County Humane Society.
