Betty was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was married 66 years to Eugene Lacey. Their union was blessed with two children, Sandra Lacey Martin and Thomas Dwight Lacey.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Skelton Davis; her husband, Eugene Lacey; and her son, Thomas Dwight Lacey.
Survivors include Betty's daughter, Sandra Martin (Calvin); devoted daughter-in-law, Faith Lacey; six loving, caregiving grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for Betty at 1 p.m. at the church, 1521 Double Oak Lane, Birmingham, AL 35242. Rev. Donny Acton will officiate. Burial will be at Bold Springs Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the Youth Program at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
