Brian W. Levine, age 49, passed on November 9, 2023. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack G. Levine, Jr and Jennifer Corrian (Hannon) Levine; his grandmothers Pauline P. Hannon and Eileen M. Levine; and grandfather William D. Hannon. Upon graduation from Shades Valley High School, Brian enrolled at Samford University to study accounting and was also a member of the men’s basketball team. He was a talented business owner and enjoyed managing various properties across the south as well as analyzing the stock market. He was a loyal supporter of University of Alabama athletics, demonstrated by his longtime membership in “Tide Pride” and following the football team to many National Championships. While he was an avid sports enthusiast, he also loved being near the water. He loved spending time at the beach. He also loved yellow butterflies, music of all genres, and was quite the connoisseur of food. He could always make you laugh and had a smile that would light up any room. Brian was dearly loved by his family and friends, as well as his many fur-babies who he knew he would see again one day at the Rainbow Bridge. Above all, Brian will be remembered as a selfless, giving, protector that would do anything for anyone. “Uncle B”/“Uncle Bri-Bri” particularly enjoyed being present for the various activities of the young people in his life, including his seven nieces and nephews. His absence will certainly be felt and he will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Brian is survived by his sisters, Jill Toodle (John) of Collinsville, AL and Fallon Brewer (Scott) of Birmingham, AL; nieces and nephews Kiana, Joshua, Jillian, Josiah, Presley, Chloe, Barrett; his girlfriend, Traci Fassina, and her son Bennett of Vestavia Hills, Al and of course, Captain, his loving canine companion of nearly 12 years.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 1-3p.m. in the chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with a celebration of life service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jimmie Hale Mission or Greater Birmingham Humane Society, two organizations that Brian proudly supported.
