On Thursday, August 7, 2025, our hearts and world were shattered when we had to say goodbye to the beautiful and brave Cadence Jade Ingram. She passed away at just 12 years old, having touched more lives than many do in a lifetime.
Cadence was born with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and wasn’t expected to make it past the age of 2, but because of the incredible fight within her and the unwavering love and advocacy from her parents, she graced this world with 12 years of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Cadence Jade was born on November 19, 2012, to Joseph Ingram and Nichole Morgan in Homewood, Alabama. She was the eldest of their three children. She was sassy, sweet, and spunky, with a love for Disney and Tinker Bell—a true princess through and through. She had a side-eye that could speak volumes, and though she was nonverbal, she had a way of letting you know exactly what she thought without saying a single word.
Cadence loved to be pampered, was every bit a “girl’s girl,” and embraced life with humor and a sparkle in her eye. She loved having movie nights — especially with her little brothers — and attending all of their sporting events, where she was their biggest cheerleader. She was a light in the Pelham, Alabama community and was just starting her 7th-grade year at Pelham Park Middle School. She loved spending time at school with her friends, teachers, and her nurses.
Cadence is survived by her parents, Nichole Morgan and Joseph Ingram; her two brothers, Sawyer and Bryson Ingram; her grandparents, Wayne Morgan, Tammy and Allen Beasley, Bradley and Mellissa Ingram, and Cindy and Ron Kwiatkowski; her aunts and uncles, Brandi and Chad Dargy, Aaron and Lindsey Kwiatkowski, Victoria Morgan, Rhiannon Zinc, Haley Morgan (Gavin Barké), Addison Morgan, Louis Ingram, and Gracie Ingram; as well as multiple loving cousins. All will forever cherish her memory. Her smile, her style, and her unapologetic spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Cadence’s life and a viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. In honor of her vibrant personality, the family encourages everyone to wear bright, joyful colors.
In her short time here, Cadence touched more lives than we could ever count. She brought joy where there was sadness, light where there was darkness, and love to every soul she met. Though her chapter here was far too brief, as her body grew tired, her story will be told in the hearts she forever changed.
Cadence's spirit will shine on in every memory, every laugh, and every moment of love we shared and continue to share in her honor. Her light will continue to shine brightly as a reminder of the beauty of living boldly and loving deeply — with all the faith, trust, and pixie dust!
