Some things Carol Lee told me throughout our convos:
How blessed she was to have all her grands! She shared all the new info and pics of her recently born grands (2020). 
About their anniversary in 2020 she shared how lucky she is to have her cutie husband. He can grill some mean chicken! She loved it when he grilled for dinner. 
How amazing it is that her hubs came along when she wasn't expecting it to happen. 
How interesting and broad Oliver's eating taste is.  
How great it was to have each group of her kids enter her life at different times. 
The great moment Waverly said "it's Waverly. "




In 2019-2020 Carol Lee and I started texting and meeting for play dates frequently after we got to know each other through our boys being in the same K4 class. She took me under her wing encouraging me through my struggles with anxiety, helping me with my weekly family meal planning, and making me laugh!!! We would meet with our kiddos at the summer movies a few times. She actively tried to invite/include me in so many things.  We started texting each other every evening with pictures of our dinners or recipes. I began texting her daily "well, what are we eating tonight?", and then she would tell me what to cook for that night - what they were also eating! I joked with her about how late they eat dinner and she simply said that it's the trendy thing to do in Europe, so her family is just too classy for me. 😂👍😉  
Although our relationship was new, I mourned and still do with a heavy heart the loss of the future relationship we were to have. I still smile and feel a weird void when I often habitually think of asking her what she's planning for me for dinner, I want to share a picture of a meal i have cooked or a recipe I found that she would enjoy. I also smile when think of her strong opinion on politicians and what she would say about some. 😂😂 
What a great part of my life it was to know her! 
Every time i think of her, I still pray for all her children, grands, hub, siblings, family, and friends. May these simple words bring a smile and fond memories of your own to mind.

I remember meeting Carol and Linda. We all went to Captain D’s one day and Carol was really silly and A kind person.  I can’t believe I’m just now finding out. 

My deepest deepest condolences to you and your family. 

Mrs. Williamson was my teacher in grade school. What I remember the most about her is that she would stay after school hours with me and some of my classmates. She helped prepare us for a Math Olympics competition on her own time. Thanks to her selfless help, constant positivity and encouragement, all of which were above and beyond, a classmate and I placed in the top 5 in this competition of over 100 students in the district. We both received awards for this accomplishment. This is one of the earliest memories I have about being in school as a kid. I'm 30 years old now. Thank you Mrs. Williamson!

I remember the first time I talked to Carol Lee when our children were in the same class at ECCS.  She definitely had many gifts and talking was one of them. I told her that she reminded me of my mother because of her ability to recall dates and numbers. When I read that she passed away on the 5 year anniversary of her mom’s passing, my first thought was that she would love that because she found so much meaning in dates and numbers. I also loved how much thought she put into the food she served, especially for Alabama football games! But the thing I love most about Carol Lee was her heart for others. She always had memories to share about those she loved whether it be her family, friends, or former students. I’m gonna miss Carol Lee but find comfort in knowing that I will see her again in the presence of Jesus. Meanwhile, memories of Carol Lee  will make me smile and her family will be in my prayers.

Carol Lee was my Beat friends cousin.  I have many memories of them coming to Becky’s house and visiting for special occasions and holidays.  When Carol Lee had her daughter Haley.  I loved that name and actually named my own daughter Haley. Carol Lee will see you on Gods beautiful shore.  May God Bless your family.

Carol Lee is my oldest sister
She loved  to talk.   No --- I mean she REALLY loved to talk.
I typically would find something to do as we talked on the phone.  You know, clean the base boards. Clean out a closet; or clean all the ceiling fans in my house.  Sometimes she'd say, "Sorry to keep you for so long on the phone" and I'd say... "No problem; I cleaned the ____" & started listing all that I did while we were talking.  She would then reply with:  "I'm tired just hearing all that!"  She sometimes would be wrapping up a conversation, then say ... "Let me tell you just one more thing"   and it was another 30 minutes.

I didn't mind I loved talking to her.  But good grief don't get her started on Politics.  She kept up with all that stuff.  Once my dad couldn't remember someone's name (in politics) & I would say, hang on Carol Lee will know.  I would text her a description of the person in question, sure enough, she could come up with it.   FROM A DISCRIPTION!!!!

My dad wanted to know the name of a brides maid from their  wedding, I told him, I did not know, let's ask Carol Lee.  & somehow, she pulled it out of thin air.  Even when she was at Shelby Medical, I text her & said: "Are you watching 'Out Numbered' she replied, "no - why?"  I said:  "daddy
was wondering who that guy was.  Just a few minutes went by, & she sent me this text:  "his name is Pete Hegseth. He's a cutie."   She also told me this:  On the inside of his right arm, from his wrist toward his elbow, he has tattooed 'We the People' in the same script as it's written on the Constitution.  I don't know how she stored all this information in her head.

Carol Lee was a walking dictionary.  She would catch a misspelled word on a face book post of mine, & would text me: "Hey go fix this word" and she'd tell me how to spell it.  My typical reply was that my smart phone is stupid.

I will miss my sister, my world will not be the same without her.

Few people touch the lives of others in the way that Carol Lee did.  She was a mentor to countless individuals that came into her life through family, church, and work. I am very fortunate to have crossed paths with Carol Lee many moons ago.  She will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your many friends.
