Charley moved with his family to Dallas, TX at age 13. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, he attended The University of North Texas at Denton.
Later after returning to the Birmingham area to live, Charley retired from U.S. Steel and Hanna Steel. He was an avid golfer and a passionate teacher of the Word of the Lord. He attended Christ Church United Mothodist Church, where he was on the Board of Trustees, served on the Ad Board, and was an usher.
Charley was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Georgia Still. Survivors include Charley's wife of 51 years, Roberta Dee Geren Still, and one son, Christopher A. Still.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Christ Church United Methodist Church, 5091 Caldwell Mill Road, Birmingham, AL 35242.
