

HARDIN, B. CHRISTOPHER, 33, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2012 in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he was an Associate Professor at Austin Peay State University. The Birmingham, Alabama native graduated from Jefferson County IB School before earning his undergraduate degree Suma Cum Laude from Birmingham Southern College. Later, he received a Master of Arts in Theatre from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama. Chris was the beloved son of Larry and Gail Hardin, Alabaster, Alabama. In addition to his parents, survivors include grandparents, Mrs. Beatrice Hardin Walls (Gene) of Birmingham, and two aunts, Joyce Woods Dill of Mt. Olive, Alabama and Valerie Hardin Franks (Keith) of Homewood, Alabama. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grady and Elean Woods and W. Roy Hardin; two uncles, Charles "Bo" Dill and Bill Hardin; and one cousin, Vicki Carole Dill. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The 2 p.m. funeral service will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Southminster Presbyterian Church, 1124 Montgomery Highway, Vestavia Hills, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Human Rights Campaign at www.hrc.org, or to the Southminster Presbyterian Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
