My wife and I just attended the memorial service.

It was very beautifully done and I was impressed that the family greeted every visitor at the entrance to the chapel.  

That had to have been a tremendously difficult task.

I only knew Chase from work, but In the few years I worked with him, I saw him grow immensely in his ability and professionalism.

He had such a bright future ahead of him.

It is a tragic loss for all of us that he is no longer with us.

A couple years later he was telling me about an employer that was interviewing him for an internship. Apparently they saw the bunny picture on his social media hahaha I remember feeling so guilty for laughing 

I met Charrison back in college when my boyfriend at the time gained Chase as his little in their fraternity. Every time I hung around him, I always ended up in tears laughing! All my memories of Charrison always bring a smile to my face. 
But my favorite memory of him was Halloween 2015. In Delta Chi, the bigs are supposed to dress up their littles for their first Halloween party. My ex was unable to participate that year, so I took charge and planned his little’s costumes. I thought it would be fun to be Hef and dress the guys up as my bunnies. I remember handing Charrison as small ziploc bag with his costume and bunny ears and said “put this on and nothing else”. As soon as he realized what it was, he started screaming “NO. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I AM NOT WEARING THAT!” 
I don’t remember how we convinced him to eventually put it on, but he did and of course I had to get a picture. 

I first met Chase when we both ended up rushing Delta Chi in the spring semester of our first year at Auburn. Right off the back, in a pledge class of 11, we knew one of us was going to have to give up our name. Luckily, and without too much squabbling, Chase opted for his combined nickname Charrison. But maybe as a way to keep it even, from then out I would always be Brewer to Chase. Over the course of college, we got to experience a lot together. I’ll never forget how (even though I got it mandated for the pledge class) that Chase was one of the guys helping out with the Delta Chi tent at my first Relay for Life event at Auburn. It meant a lot to have him out and helping run a fantastic dunk contest fundraiser. And of course there were the football games and late nights at Little Italy’s, brotherhood retreats and parties at the house, and some of my favorite game days in the backyard. We even got to all go to Talledega one spring, and l’ll always remember seeing Chase in his element down there and doing my best to match his energy, ripped jean shorts and all. By the time our college careers were coming to an end, I got to see Chase and a few others friends on their senior dinner night and listened to them tell their stories and reflect on everything they accomplished and the friendships they made. But honestly what I can most cherish is all the times we got to have post-college. Celebrating our friends Jimmy’s and Andrew’s weddings and even getting a master class on how to embody being your best friend’s best man. Only a little over a month ago we tailgated and watched as Auburn and Alabama battled in an epic Iron Bowl, ending with a slightly less than stellar outcome but having an exceptional time in the process. I’m grateful for the memories we were able to make, and my heart goes out to everyone who had the pleasure of getting to know Chase. 

2014- Chase gave me a few drum lessons before I started drumline my freshman year (his senior year). This photo is from a stop at Burger King on the way home from an indoor competition. He really wanted to wear that BK Crown. 

Loved getting to know Chase. He spoke fondly of his family, his friends and Lee, his “four legged outdoor adventure buddy”.  He had said that he had been taught from a young age that through hard work and God, he could learn, grow and accomplish anything.  One day, we will see what he is accomplishing for us in heaven. Chase is already missed.

We are mourning with you and reminding ourselves that Chase's life, obviously from the testimonies,  made and is making an impact. Praying that the God of all comfort will minister to you, restore you, heal up places in time so that you can in turn help others faced with losing a child, brother, nephew, cousin, friend.

The Ballew Family- 
Channing and Chase had known each other since preschool and played many baseball games together. What a great kid and always the best spirit. We are so saddened for the entire Harrison family. As a family we have so many childhood memories of our kids playing sports. Chase was always the kind and friend to everyone. Dad’s always coaching on the side. 
You are around families so much in sports. This really hit home. Prayers and love for days to come. Cherish the beautiful Chase. 

I wanted to send a few photos of Chase and i from college, but couldn’t figure out how to send more than one photo per post.

I met Chase through Sandi and Jimmy in college at a fraternity party. I had just transferred to Auburn and didn’t know that many people.  He was so goofy and so kind we instantly became friends. He took me to my first sorority event and was such a gentleman the whole time. He picked me up from my apartment and we talked and danced throughout the night. After that he came to several events with me and even took me to his formal in New Orleans. We laughed, we danced, we sang and we had a blast. From then on out he was my beer pong partner anytime I came over to a fraternity party. I didn’t like beer so he would always drink the cups for me. No matter what he always drank them for me in any game we played. I probably helped get him drunk a lot faster than planned, but it was always a blast. There was this one time he was hanging out at my apartment and we forgot that the parking lot gets checked for nonresidents and his car started to get towed. We ran after it down the street and convinced the man who was towing it to let him have his car back. It wasn’t funny at the time, but it is funny now. Chase was always so kind to me and such an incredible friend. He is going to be missed so much.

I coached Chase back when he played baseball at Monrovia Middle. I thought the world of him. My prayers go out to all of the Harrison family! -Jeff Mathheus

I've known David since high school.  1975 to be exact. Met his sweet wife Andrea at a mutual friends funeral not to long ago.  I got to know Chase in the woods hunting something we all loved. He was always smiling, respectful and kind. For me the memories that stand out the most personally come from the times when we were getting fields ready loading those 50 lb bags of seed and fertilizer. Anytime Chase was around and saw me reach to grab one he would say get back old man let a young buck handle that. This wasn't said in a disrespectful way but in a kind, concerned way. We would rag each other about college football.  During hunting season if we were hunting anywhere remotely in the vicinity of each other, just before last light I would hear a 4 wheeler or my side by side slowly headed my way. Chase wasn't going to let me walk out from my stand.   He would always say you just shoot we will handle everything else.Like his dad he knew I had back issues. He would sacrifice those last prime time minutes of hunting just to make sure I wasn't hiking out from my stand in pain. It's who he was. It's the way he was raised. I'll miss seeing that sneaky smile at dark pulling up to my stand. I'll miss him telling me to step back and let a young buck handle the heavy lifting but most of all...I'll just miss him. War Eagle Chase! From your old man Alabama fan and forever your friend. 

In high school, Chase was such a fun friend to have around. Always positive, loyal and there whenever you needed him. He has done amazing things in his life, and he will be very missed. I pray he is resting in peace with our Lord.

I’ll never forget the first time I met Chase… he was shouting at me from across a crowded room to get my attention. I had no idea who he was at the time but he never felt like a stranger. He called me over and insisted that I go talk to his friend who had come there with him. I may have met my husband that night, but I also met a dear friend who became family. We’ve had so many memories since then. From Auburn tailgates and football games, formals and weddings, to him visiting in Charlotte where we had board game tournaments and frozen custard runs every night where he got his favorite flavor “Boot Daddy”. 

Chase has always been the most loyal friend. Whether that was if you needed help, needed someone to talk to, or just needed a good laugh. He never failed at making us smile. 

Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, you’ve raised a wonderful man and I am so thankful for every second I was able to spend with him. Give Lee lots of love for me. Praying for your family constantly. 

Band Banquet 2014– fond memories of indoor drumline and band together. 

One hot summer day in 2019, Chase received some Snapchats of Sandi and I working on handcrafting wooden benches for our wedding ceremony down in Fairhope. He responded by insisting that me and him set a time later on to go back down together so he could help me finish constructing and staining them and so Sandi didn’t have to worry about it herself. Well, we picked a good weekend and went down together. He drove down from Bham to meet me in Auburn, and we rode down to Fairhope in my truck together. We had the best time listening to country music and telling stories as we rolled down 65 South, as we always did on our many long drives. We worked tirelessly in the humid 100+ degree weather for 2.5 straight days. He got good at measuring and cutting the boards, and I assembled the pieces he cut into final form. We had a little assembly line going, but not without bickering back and forth about him messing up a cut or two and him blaming me for having the “fun job” or not giving him a break. Each night we were down there, we went to a local Irish Pub called McSharry’s to grab a few beers and throw darts after a hard days work. Loser of the dart game would buy the next round, and let’s just say I bought most of the rounds. He basically taught me how to play darts that night, as he taught me how to do many things. He fell in love with an Icelandic White Ale called Einstok and went on to drink those ever since that trip. Prior to going to the pub one night, we grabbed dinner at Sunset Pointe, a neat little spot looking out on the bay where he ordered his favorite “beach trip” meal: the catch of the day, blackened. He always talked about how that was his favorite. I will never forget the literal blood, sweat, and tears we put into those benches together and the fun we had that weekend. I couldn’t have done it without his support and he knew I needed a hand. Memories and acts like that make him the brother I never had. 

Charrison was the greatest best man I could’ve ever asked for for my and Sandi’s wedding, and quite frankly for life in general. When I asked him to be my best man, he admitted he already knew he was going to be it, so he had a list of ideas and thoughts ready then and there that he wasted no time sharing. He was so supportive of both of us during the lead up to our wedding (see bench story) and was always lending a helping hand without us having to ask. On our wedding day, he got up early to help me and a few family members arrange benches for the ceremony. He made well sure each one was perfectly arranged and placed with care. Later that evening, he gave an incredible best man speech and introduced us to the reception in spectacular fashion. He loved having that mic in his hand that night, and we loved everything he had to say. Little did we all know, he would get back on the mic later as he became the lead singer of the band for a short time, singing “Dixieland Delight” and a special rendition of “Christmas in Dixie”. Just a fitting moment all around and something nobody at that reception could ever forget. He had a blast that day and we are all so glad to have those memories of him. I had so much trust and faith in him to do an incredible job as a best man, and he over-delivered as always. 

Mr. David and Mrs. Andrea, I am so glad y’all got to be there to see your son shine that day. Chase truly made our special day so much more special by being the amazing man he was raised to be. Love y’all and am sending constant prayers. 

Chase and I were in the same RAT class in the AUMB, and I really got to know him last year during Lauren’s wedding. Chase was one of those people that you could walk up to and talk to like you’d been friends for ten years and were catching up right where you left off. He was outgoing, funny, and he loved his family and friends. Chase will truly be missed and I am thankful that he was a part of all our lives. 

Chase was so many things, but above all, he had a good heart. He made so many people laugh during our time together on Auburn Drumline. He had a sense of humor that was unmatched, and he would always go above and beyond for the people he loved. The world will be dimmer without him. Chase, your favorite pup Leo says he will miss you and hopes you are at peace. Thank you for watching him and loving him while we were at Auburn.

We had a lot of fun. Chase loved percussion and Auburn. Being excellent at playing snare drum was his passion. All the hard work paid off and we won championships. We would play cards on off days in band and talk about sports. Chase had so much energy and presence, so there was never a dull moment. I remember us getting so excited talking about Auburn football. He had a true love for Auburn. I was glad to see him combine both passions. Chase will live on through all of us who shared great memories with him. God Bless and War Eagle.

There are so many fond memories of this group! 

Chase has been a part of our lives since he and Will met in Middle School. There were so many great times playing air soft and paintball, going to movies, and participating in all things percussion, just to name a few.  He and I used to joke about me keeping a mayonnaise jar (not really) in my car. Whenever he stayed over, he would go to church with us and we had some lively discussions about how to pronounce Hallelujah. 
Chase was passionate about his hobbies, smart, talented, and funny.  He will be missed! 
My heart breaks for Andrea, David, Lauren and everyone else who knew Chase.  My family and I  extend our deepest condolences to all!

Chase was always so fun to be around and so talented at playing snare! It was literally his pride and joy. My favorite memory with Chase was going out to a corn field to just look at the stars and talk about life when we were in high school. His truck got stuck and we almost missed my curfew getting back home. It was hilarious. He was so loved by anyone who met him and will be dearly missed by the Sparkman and AUMB family. 

David, Andi, and Lauren... No words... I have no words. 

All I can say is that Chase will always be in our hearts and I know he can hear me when I say CHASE HARRISON, YOU ROCK, DUDE!!!

I met Chase during my 3rd year in the Auburn University Marching Band, and he so happened to be one of my first R.A.T (Rookie Auburn Tigers) babies. Of my “twins” assigned to me that year, Chase was definitely the most outgoing and had the brightest personality. I can remember waving to him across campus whenever we spotted each other and him yelling “HEY MOM!” He truly made my experience of mentoring freshmen band members an unforgettable experience, and even as we grew up and apart, I always considered him to be a friend. 

Chase will be sorely missed by his R.A.T mom and everyone else that had the chance to meet him. I am praying for the entire family during this difficult time. 

Chase, his sister Lauren, his father David, and I (his uncle Mark), went to the BCS National Championship game in January 2011. We flew out Sunday night just ahead of the big snowstorm that hit the southeast, and flew back Tuesday morning where the Atlanta airport had only one runway operating because of the snow. Because school was shut down for the snow storm, Chase and Lauren did not end up missing any school during the trip.

Chase loved his time at Sparkman! Thank you to Jenny and all his friends there. Please pray for him!

I was lucky enough to get to spend time with Chase and there was never a finer young man. Whether it was eating wings @ Cricket’s in Madison, the 2010 AU National Championship game in Glendale, Arizona or just an afternoon together duck hunting.
Chase and I became good friends in 2008 when we spent an afternoon duck hunting - we talked for hours and I learned that day he was a special person.  Chase killed his first duck that day and there has never been a prouder young man.
I have known Chase’s dad, David, for many years and there has never been a prouder father. My heart is breaking for the Harrison family – please know you are all in my prayers.


My favorite memory with Chase is when me, him and Andrew all went to Auburn to a Florida Georgia Line and Nelly concert and then we spent the next day of Chase giving us a tour of Auburn. He, Andrew, and I were always going to Taco Bell or coming over to my house and hanging out with my parents because Chase and Andrew were their favorites. My mom gave him the nickname “Chaser”. He was so goofy and down for any crazy adventure. I hope you are at peace, Chaser ❤️

Chase was a wonderful young man. He was a pleasure to be around. He will always live in our hearts.

Chase was one of my best buddies in percussion at Sparkman. He went from the whole drumline’s little brother to well respected senior on center snare. My senior year, we were co-leaders of the drumline together. I have quite a few pictures of Chase from back in the day and all of them show what a fun loving, goofy, sweetheart he was. Sparkman and Auburn lost a great guy and family member. Fly high buddy, and War Eagle. I truly hope you’re at peace. 

You made my senior the best year of high school. We hung out practically every day. You took me to my first concert which was Luke Bryan. And the summer before I left for college was the best because of you. The last time I saw you was in September of 2015 when I was visiting Auburn for the JSU game and I ended up at a band party where I didn’t know anyone. You came and got me and let me stay at your apartment that night. Which speaks to your entire character. You had the biggest heart and I will forever be blessed to have had you in my life.
