He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 25, 1936. On December 22, 1956, he married the love of his life, Latell Russell.
Claude built a successful career as a business owner, operating Rigney Painting for many years and serving the Birmingham Metropolitan area with integrity and pride. His work left a lasting impression on the community he cared deeply about.
Beyond his professional life, Claude had a deep passion for gardening, staying physically active, and travelling and experiencing new places.
Claude was preceded in death by his wife, Latell Russell Rigney.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Terri Rigney Mollica (Joseph); grandchildren, Lana Bischoff Campbell (Chris), Brandon Bischoff (Erin), Del Bischoff, Lauren Gray, and Ryan Gray; and great-grandchildren, Madison D’Armond, Easton D’Armond, Ashton Campbell, Zane Bischoff (Callie), Audrina Bischoff, Abigail Bischoff, Ally Bischoff, and Blakely Rader.
