Dale Hayden Young

and mother Ethel (Taylor) Young were farmers in the rural community around McCrory,

AR. His parents along with brothers, Winston, George, Roy and Wayne Young gradually

made their way to their Heavenly home. He has two sisters, Valarie Stafford

(Columbus, GA) and Faye Norviel (McCrory, AR).

Dale would tell others of the hard works of farming life. After graduation of high

school, he left the farm for Houston Texas. He worked at the Houston Power until

enlisting in the Navy. While he lived in Houston, he met his future wife, Janette (Cain)

Young and they married in the chapel on the Alameda California Naval base in 1952.

This marriage has held firm for 64 years. They were blessed with children Michael

Hayden Young (deceased) and wife Janice (Chelsea, AL), Tanna Lynn Davis (Birmingham,

AL) and Jeffrey Brent Young (deceased). He leaves behind his precious grandchildren

Nikki Young, Pauli Young Latham (Curtis), Landon Davis (Kayla), Jake Davis, and further

blessed with great grandchildren Caleb and Lilli and became GG Daddy.

Dale owned his own appliance repair business until an accident made him unable to

work. Then he became a property manager.

He never sought earthly riches and was content and so grateful for all things provided.

His wealth was his love for God, his family and many friends. He felt the call to serve

others and prepared for a ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.

Being a fun loving and happy person, he brightened many lives. He was patient even

though suffering daily from his disability. He was a good man, wonderful husband to

Janette, and a good father.

His earthy body failed him but he never failed in his faith and love for the Heavenly

Father.
