We have known Danny for so many years, here at The Dance Foundation.  I am late in knowing of Danny's passing, but wanted to share how much we appreciated his kindness, expertise, and good nature.

He and Laura were the best.  All those years playing softball with Danny and working with Laura at Vulcan, great times.  There are so many memories:  everything from his mixing Redman chewing tobacco with green apple bubble gum before a game (step carefully around 1B) to the infamous game at the old Shades Valley HS baseball field, when numerous Vulcan players got injured thru-out the day during the tournament.  Danny got hurt (short-term, but not printable) and had to be replaced by our scorekeeper (Judy) for the rest of the game - she got the game winning hit a couple of innings later.  We eventually let Danny forget that (sort of).  Danny will be missed.  God bless the family.  We love you.

I worked at Vulcan Materials for 40 years. In the 70’s Danny’s wife Laura worked at Vulcan. We had so much fun playing Friday night softball in Vestavia with Danny. The wives always joined us at Mr Gatti’s in Hoover after every game. Danny was such a great guy. We will miss him dearly. Even though we haven’t spoke in over 30 years Danny will always be a part of some of the best times in my life. Bless you Laura and may God he with you and your family!!! War a Eagle!!!

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Boyd. I live in North Lake at Greystone and he was always so helpful whenever I called or text him with issues regarding our gate. I will miss seeing him.

We are so sorry for your families loss.  Danny was a trusted consultant and installer for the gated projects that we designed.  He was always so helpful and reliable and will be missed.  Please accept our condolences.

Danny was a wonderful person whom I enjoyed working with at Avalon. He always had wonderful stories and was just a plain old nice guy. I will miss him.

I loved working with Danny!  Whatever problem I was trying to solve, he was always there - by phone, or in person.  And, he solved it - and I learned something!  He was fun to be around, with a smile and a laugh.  It was great hearing about his precious family.  I'll miss him dearly.  My deepest condolences to the Boyds.

The good days, the bad days, and eventually the praises.
I know Danny’s reward is a rich one indeed,
Special people have grown from a very small seed.

So I’ll smile to myself when I think of “Danny Boyd”
Now he’s got a new group to listen to his callings.
And in time, like me, I know they will tend
To know Danny as we-did our family, our friend.

Danny will surely be missed. He conducted  himself in the business world and in his personal life with the highest standards and ethics. I feel those that interacted with Danny always left with a smile on their face. I will miss working with him and seeing him as I know so many people will. I am wrapping his family and thoughts and prayers.

Danny was a great friend and will be greatly missed. Any time I called needing advice or help on a gate he would always know the answer. You will be missed, but I know your in a much better place. Try not work work on heaven's gates to much. Be safe my friend.

Danny was a good person and always pleasant to work with.  Need more like him.

Ive known Danny for 20 plus years and always looked forward to his fried turkeys. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and not ask for anything in return. Danny is truly one of the GOOD Guys !!!!! Fly HIGH my friend until we meet again

Danny was and will always be an angel to me. 
Every time I saw him, he had a big grin on his face that got even bigger when talking about his precious grand baby. I know without a shadow of a doubt Danny is with our Lord and Savior. My thoughts and prayers are with the Boyd family. 

For 30+ years, Danny was always there for me with an answer any time I called, usually in a panic; unless or course he was fishing. Thank you for always being there,  true friend. And he was always ready to show me Lucy's latest picture.  God needed someone for heaven's gates, and he got the best! Praying for your family.

I knew Danny through work and consider it a blessing to have known him all that time. He was always willing to help and teach. A fine man that I could count on. I miss his smile and hearing his friendly voice on the phone. Peace and comfort to his family and friends.

As a customer of Southeast Alarm, I spoke to Danny often.  I always enjoyed Danny's friendly, pleasant manner and his quick response to problems.  I felt like I was calling up an old friend.  I will certainly miss him.  My condolences to the family. 

Who could forget one of the proudest dads at the Miss Alabama Pageant? Not only was he a huge supporter, but he raised a daughter to be kind, generous, and sincere. A life well lived and reflected in the beautiful people he influenced. They say that the best lessons aren't taught, they're caught, and I could clearly see that with him. My deepest sympathy to you, Katie.

I just don't have the words to express my grief for my football teammate and  graduating classmate of 1975.  Everything we did together with Wetumpka's on Rat Pack-Danny, Judson, Bill, and myself are the memories I will carry into the future.  #'s 60, 65, 23, 21, will go down in Wetumpka lore.  Maybe not so much remembered, but surely not forgotten.  My prayers go to Danny's wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings, and extended family.  Also for everyone who knew Danny during High School and beyond say a prayer tonight before going to sleep.  Danny until we meet again this is for you.

I only knew Danny through work, but he was always a pleasure to talk to on the phone. One of the few people i never dreaded getting a call from. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to all the family.

Laura and Katie,  I am heartbroken for your family and both of y’all.  Danny will always be remembered as a doting husband, father, and grandfather.  Laura you were his best friend and his everything!   Katie he adored you and was so incredibly proud of you!   He was at our home in March fixing our alarm.  He stayed for an hour and half to chat.  I think you called Laura to tell him dinner was ready.   He talked about both of y’all the whole time!  I heard about your first date, your first car, when he met your parents, and just how lucky he was to be your husband Laura.   Katie you were his angel!  He loves you and Lucy beyond words!   I love you both!  I cannot imagine your grief right now.  We all love you and we are here to help any way we can!  May God wrap you in his arms every minute of every day.   I know Danny will be ❤️

Heaven has definitely gained a beautiful soul! I was given the honor to work with Danny over the past ten years. He could always put a smile on your face. He will truly be missed. May our Lord bless and comfort this family during this time.

I remember Danny from Wetumpka High School. 
Remember the year he first attended.  He was in my home room class. He was a very smart and articulate guy. Well liked by everyone. Always a smile and encouragement. 
We graduated in 1975...

I consider it an honor to have known Danny. He was always there when you needed something and would always take time to talk. He will be truly missed. My prayers go out to his family who I know he loved so much.

Danny was one of the finest men I have ever had the privilege to be around. It hurts me to know that he has gone but he will never be forgotten in my heart. Rest easy Danny, until we meet again. 

Heaven gained another awesome guy! Danny was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He loved his girls {Laura, Katie & Lucy} and always treated them like a princess. He was such a hard worker and the summer that Richard worked for him he was always encouraged by Danny’s hard work ethic and the kindness he bestowed to his customers. Prayers for you ladies as you navigate a new life without your main man! We love you!
