

David “Peach” Cary Grodsky, 58, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away June 3rd, 2025. He was born in Jasper, Alabama on November 17th, 1966 to Jolee (Golomb) and Lawrence Grodsky. David graduated from Stratford High School before participating in Young Judaea’s Year Course program and studying linguistics at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. He worked in sales across a variety of industries, most proudly as a Sales Manager for Service Corporation International.
Above all else, David prided himself on being a father. He was a special soul, filled with abundant love, an eagerness to learn about the world, and an insatiable urge to make people laugh. David showed up for people in every way he knew how. His unending generosity, profound intelligence, and absurd humor will be duly remembered.
David is preceded in death by his parents Jolee and Lawrence, as well as his sister Karen Grodsky. He is survived by his children, Zoe Grodsky and Isaac Grodsky; their mother, Carla (Tyler) Grodsky; his sisters, Debra Reisman and her husband Bart, and Lissa Perry and her husband Matt; his nieces and nephews, Jason and Jen Reisman, Shara and Seth Griffith, Daniel Bush, Ashley Bush, and Ryan and Cassie Bush; and a host of extended family and beloved friends.
A visitation for David will be held Friday, June 20th, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a celebration of life from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
