Mr. David William McRae was born March 6, 1957 to the late Janet McRae, of Ozark, AL. He accepted Christ at an early age. On December 6, 2021, he departed this earthly life and transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. – II Corinthians 5:8
He is survived by his daughter Adria McRae, step-daughter Helen Carcamo (Georgia), grandson Kenneth Edwards Jr, two great grandchildren Germani and Nae’omi Edwards. He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings Sylvia Wynn, Richard McRae, Cindy Kellum, Robert McRae, and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly. Special recognition to his niece Christy Wynn and his great niece and nephew Trinity and Jadon Kytle.
David graduated from UAB in auto mechanics and held a career as a Master Mechanic. He was an avid lover of fast cars. His love of the automotive service industry led him to Estes Automotive, for 17 years where he was a dedicated worker. He was a member of First Baptist Church Pelham, where he spent majority of his adulthood serving faithfully. David was a blessing to everyone who knew him and will be missed by all who loved him.
When a stone is dropped into a lake, it quickly disappears—but its impact leaves behind a series of ripples that broaden and reach across the water. In the same way, the impact of one life lived for Christ will leave behind an influence for good that will reach the lives of many others.
