David Michael "Mike" Stephens

March 5, 1971 - April 2, 2018

Mike Stephens, 47 of Hoover, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. Mike was a beloved father, husband, brother, son, uncle, friend, and child of God. He was a member of the Birmingham theatre community where he appeared in multiple productions over the past 13 years. Mike was an active member of the choir at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and his voice will be greatly missed. He spent many years as a senior sales recruiter for Cellular Sales, Verizon, and recently became the Vice President of sales/business development at R2 consulting, LLC. You fought a hard fight, Mike. Your kids will remember how well you loved them. Your legacy will be in tact. Go rest high on that mountain.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Tawny Lynn Stephens; children, Mia Paige Stephens (9) and Ryan Michael Dickerson Stephens (7); parents, Mary Ella Stephens and Terrell Glenn Dickerson; sister, Amy Michelle Coles; brother-in-law, Joshua Aaron Coles; nephews, Joshua Avery Coles, Elijah Nathan Coles, and Ashton Michael Coles; half sister, Bonnie Dickerson; and half Brother, Cole Dickerson.

The celebration of Mike's life will be at 3pm on Friday April 6, 2018at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 858 Kent Dairy Road Alabaster, AL 35007, with The Reverend Mary Bea Sullivan officiating.
