Donna Minor Ross

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Lane Ross; her parents, Willodean Minor Price and Grady Lee Minor; and her grandparents, Oscar Bean and Lillie Belle Hays Bean.

She is survived by her loving family: her sister, Dorothy Smith (James Roy Smith) of Hot Springs, AR; her children, Gregory Lane Ross (Keri Ross) of Alabaster, AL and Karen Ross Miller (Derrick Miller) of Helena, AL; grandchildren, Garrett Lane Ross, Patrick Gregory Ross, Ryan Gregory Sumner (Alyssa), Tyler Andrew Sumner, Logan Andrew Miller, and Anna Elizabeth Miller; and great-grandchildren, Kinsley Ann Sumner and Maddox Lane Sumner. She is also remembered dearly by her nieces and nephews.

Donna and Gary were married on December 30, 1967. She worked alongside Gary at his State Farm Agency from 1973 until 2008. Donna enjoyed traveling with State Farm awards trips, and she cherished time spent with her family. She was an avid Auburn football fan, loved traveling in their motor home, and rarely missed her grandchildren’s events.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. A funeral service and graveside interment will follow.

Donna’s warmth, love, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
